Scrapplique

Scrapplique is the work of Lisa Marshall, out of her home studio in Fremont/Ballard. Lisa has experience designing and sewing full-sized quilts, and recently began creating portraits using fabric, applique and quilting techniques. Her custom pet portraits are designed and created all by hand–no other technology is involved (other than a sewing machine and a computer where she receives emails of the pets to be portrayed!)

The inspiration to begin creating pet portraits came from her love of her dogs. The best part of this project has been givingcustomers a memento of their pets that they can treasure forever. She currently lives in north Seattle with her mystery terrier, Skittles, and Yorkshire Terrier, Teddy, as well as her partner.
