SGBN is committed to protecting your privacy.
Website Visitor Data
You can visit most portions of seattlemade.org without telling us who you are and without revealing any personal information. The only information we collect from a website visit is the name of your internet service provider, the browser and type of machine you are using, the website that referred you to us, the pages you request and the date, time, and geographic location (city, state, and country only) from which you request them. We use this information to generate statistics and measure site activity in order to improve the quality of our site to our visitors.
Cookies
Like most websites, seattlemade.org may place a “cookie,” or small file, in the browser files of a visitor’s computer. We use cookies to save information you give us so that you don’t have to re-enter it each time you visit our site. This allows us to personalize the site to your taste and provide the best web experience possible to our visitors.
Email Communication
We do encourage you to voluntarily share your email address and other personally identifiable information with us, because we can’t build the network without you. All such information is collected and stored in a manner appropriate to the nature of the data. SGBN makes every effort to insure the secure collection and transmission of sensitive user information using industry-accepted data collection and encryption methodologies.
SGBN does not sell or otherwise disclose user information outside the organization for commercial purposes. If you sign up to receive updates from SGBN or if you register for any of our events or services, we will use that contact information to communicate with you about our activities. We may from time to time send information to you on behalf of trusted allies in the community.
You may opt out of communication from SGBN at any time.
Manufacturer Directory
If you are a producer or manufacturer that has applied for membership to Seattle Made and been approved, your business information is displayed publicly in our online directory. During the member application process, you can opt-out of having your contact information displayed to fellow members. You will also automatically be added to the Seattle Made Mobilize Group, and may unsubscribe from that group at any time.
Donor/Contributor Privacy (Donations, Purchases and Event Fees)
SGBN does not sell, trade or share our donors’ personal information with anyone else, nor do we send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. We will only share personal information if a donor/contributor has given us specific permission to do so.
To process a charitable contribution or product purchase, it is necessary for SGBN to gather the visitor’s name, email address, mailing address, phone, and credit card information. This data is used to verify identity and execute the financial transaction. Additionally, phone number and email address information may be used to contact visitors if there is a problem with the transaction. If you choose to make an online monetary transaction with SGBN, your credit card information will be used only for this transaction through our secure online payment system, processed by Authorize.net. SGBN does not retain credit card information or transmit credit card information to anyone else.
