Scary White Girl Designs

Dawn grew up surrounded by craft supplies that her mother used and shared. Though she learned to sew and cross stitch at an early age, she never gave much thought to her mother’s yarn. That changed in 2004, when Dawn asked a friend’s mother to teach her how to crochet. Four months later, she enlisted the help of the internet to figure out why she couldn’t follow a pattern to save her life. After relearning all of the stitches, she threw patterns to the wind and started making stuff up as she went. Operating under the theory that everything can be broken down into component shapes, Dawn crochets a variety of items, including accessories, plush toys, and housewares.
