If you have been nominated for an award, have an event coming up or have something special you’d like to spread the word about please send us details. We’ll do our best to get the word out! We hope to get a job posting resource up soon, but for now no job posts, please.

Seattle Made Airport Store

We are thrilled to partner with Stellar Airports to offer members the opportunity to be featured at the Seattle Made Airport Store.

Seattle Made’s role is focused on community convening and promotion of the store through our network.

Stellar Airports handles the day-to-day management of the store, handling all product curation, purchasing, wholesale terms negotiation, invoicing/billing, and store operations.

The Seattle Made Store opened in May of 2019. The space is 440 square feet located in Concourse C at SeaTac airport. The initial lease is for eight years.

Stellar Airport buyers will be reviewing products in the below categories.

  • Pre-packaged Specialty Foods. Foods must be pre-packaged and have a minimum of six -month shelf life (with printed expiration dates)
  • Home Decor
  • Apparel
  • Children’s Goods
  • Accessories
  • Jewelry
  • Souvenirs and Regionally Inspired Gifts
  • Nonalcoholic Beverages. There is a small refrigerator available for cold items.

Things to consider

  • Smaller sized items do well, i.e., items that can easily fit in a carry on bag.
  • Visible Seattle branding (in packaging and tagging) appeals to travelers.

Submission Overview

  • You must be a Seattle Made member to be featured at the store.
  • Buyers will be reviewing items continually.
  • Seattle Made staff will send buyers all submitted products once a month on the last day of each month.
  • If the buyers are interested in purchasing your line, they will reach out to you directly. We do not have a sense of how long this process takes. We will update this overview when we have more information.
  • After the initial order is placed, you will be assigned a buyer based on your product category. You will have one buyer from Stellar work with you directly to handle all orders and let you know where invoices should be directed.
  • If buyers do not reach out to purchase your line, you may resubmit as you create new product lines or every six months.
  • The Seattle Made staff do not handle product selection or buying. This said if you are running into a roadblock, please loop Andrea into the conversation. As the Seattle Made program manager, she is here to advocate for you as a member!

How to Submit 

1. Complete the Seattle Made store application form.

2. Upload your wholesale line sheet (including wholesale pricing) to Dropbox.
Please title your file name with your business name. Example: SeattleFoods.pdf

Instagram Takeover


Welcome to our Seattle Made Instagram Takeover! As a Seattle Made member, we welcome you to promote your local products to our Seattle Made audience by “taking over” (control of) our official Instagram account for a two-day periodWhat a great opportunity to gain followers just by sharing your story!


  • You may posts as many posts as you’d like during your takeover!
  • Incorporate the Seattle Made logo into your photos, either in the photo itself or added as a stamp. A high-resolution Seattle made logo [900x900px .png] with transparent background is available in black or white.
  • Use the hashtag #seattlemade when posting to our account.
  • On your account, inform your followers you’re heading over to the Seattle Made IG account and they should follow you there! [see example]
  • First post: Introduce yourself on the Seattle Made IG account; encourage others to follow your @instagram profile. [see example]
  • Last post: Conclude your Seattle Made promotion with a goodbye post. [see example]
  • Please do not split your posts into a mosaic layout (example here). They may not display correctly on Seattle Made social feeds featured elsewhere.

Here's the Rules:

By participating in the Seattle Made Instagram Takeover promotion, you agree to:

  • keep our login information confidential (do not share it with anyone outside of your team)
  • refrain from uploading any content that is offensive, defamatory, or illegal
  • promote ONLY your business, Seattle Made, and/or Seattle Good Business Network (Seattle Made’s parent organization)
  • delete the Seattle Made user info from your Instagram settings after your two-day promotion window has ended

  • Tell followers what upcoming events or shows you’ll be participating in.
  • Take photos at iconic Seattle locations incorporating your product.
  • Showcase your process for production (how it’s made) or production facility!
  • Highlight or @tag any Seattle stores, restaurants, or cafes you work with.
  • Promote any current collaboration with other Seattle Made members!

Book Your Takeover Dates!

Select from the booking calendar below which dates you’d like to participate. Time slots shown in red and orange have been filled. Weekends are not available. You will receive a confirmation email notifying you that we have received your submission. When your Takeover dates are approved, you will receive a second email with the user/pass login information for our Seattle Made Instagram account. If you need to reschedule or cancel your dates, please call us at (206) 629-2346 x4 or email us.

NOTE: Please only select two consecutive dates. Each member is limited to one Instagram Takeover promotion every 90 days. Don’t see the dates you want? Use the double arrow (>>) at the top right-hand corner of the calendar to scroll and select future dates.

Visit Seattle is Seattle and King County’s official destination marketing organization—with over 110,000 followers on Instagram! As a Seattle Made member, you can submit your photos to Visit Seattle for use, which they may post on their official account—that’s incredible visibility!


By participating in this promotion, you are allowing Visit Seattle to post your photos to their official Instagram account (your photos will not be used elsewhere). Participation in this program does not guarantee that Visit Seattle agrees to or will be able to post your content. If your content is selected to post, your @businessname will be tagged by Visit Seattle. Visit Seattle reserves the right to draft the final description and hashtags included with the post as they see fit.

  • Please submit exactly 3 photos.
  • Images must be square and a minimum size of 1080×1080 pixels so that it will appear sharp on high-resolution displays. We’d suggest an optimum size of 1200×1200 pixels.
  • Images must be in .jpg, .gif, or .png format.
  • DO NOT incorporate your logo, the Seattle Made logo, or any text into your photos [we will be tagging your business in the description (@mybusiness)].
  • DO NOT submit photos where any person’s face is clearly identifiable (hands holding things, people facing away from the camera, silhouettes, etc. are all okay).

Seattle Made Membership

Seattle is known worldwide for its innovation, independence, and grit. In addition to helping local manufacturers find and share the resources they need to thrive, Seattle Made offers a brand platform that helps certified local manufacturers (members) identify and differentiate themselves, and helps consumers identify locally made products.

SMYB is comprised of up to 9 local youth (ages 14-21), who are keen to learn about the role of the local economy in building more equitable communities and a healthier environment. Board members work creatively and collaboratively to build public awareness campaigns on issues that impact our city, ranging from the local food economy, slow fashion, urban sustainability, and more. Board members also help to inform our overall youth programming design and materials. SMYB aims to empower and provide relevant and equitable opportunity for underrepresented youth, and specifically, young women of color. We highly recommend young women of color, POC, and LGBTQ+ folks to join SMYB! SMYB is looking for five more individuals to join this year’s cohort! The 2019-2020 cohort! Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled!
