About

Seattle Made is a network of over 500 local business owners who produce everything from glass art to apparel to chocolate, and so much more! Seattle Made helps grow and support this diverse ecosystem of producers that expand opportunities for local ownership and meaningful employment, and celebrate Seattle’s unique cultural identity.

  • 15+ years of age
  • Interested and dedicated to working with small, local businesses 
  • Passionate about learning from local entrepreneurs and manufacturers whose expertise ranges from fashion, to food, to art, and everything in between!
  • Wages and stipends vary based on position and capacity. Some position’s wages are listed as: “TBD,” please contact our Youth Program Manager for more information
  • Depending on position, internships may last a minimum of three months, or more. Weekly hours vary based on position
  • Eligible for school credit if approved by the school (Seattle Public Schools require 180 hours for class credit)

Current internship opportunities with Seattle Made businesses



Manufacturing assistant and social media/marketing position with Subsonic Skateboards

  • Available now for summer, or fall positions!
  • Stipend TBD
  • 5-10 hours/week
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: pressing longboards (staining, lay up, composites), screen printing, clear coating, shipping, and cleaning – with the potential to help with sanding and laser-engraving. Marketing: photography, videography, social media posts

Business development and marketing position with ONE Bites

  • Available now for summer, or fall positions!
  • Stipend TBD
  • 5-15 hours/week
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing inventory, booth setup, sales, documentation tracking, and more
  • Available now for summer, fall, or winter positions!
  • Minimum wage: $15/hour
  • 5-25 hours/week depending on availability and ability
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: daily brewing tasks, administrative organization, sampling demo events, and a trade show event in August!


Production social media positions
with Soulever Chocolates

  • Available now for summer, fall, or winter positons!
  • Stipend TBD
  • Up to 15 hours/week
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: chocolate production assistance, social media organization and management


Social media position
with Simply Soulful

  • Available now for summer and fall positions!
  • Stipend TBD
  • 10-15 hours/week
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: creating and managing social media posts, developing sorytelling around Simply Soulful products and business


Social media & chocolate maker position with Chocolate Krak

  • Available now for summer and fall positions!
  • Stipend TBD
  • Up to 20 hours/week
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining social media flow/consistency and updating the website. Assist with chocolate manufacturing, and learn how to make confections and do product demos
