Seattle Made is a network of over 500 local business owners who produce everything from glass art to apparel to chocolate, and so much more! Seattle Made helps grow and support this diverse ecosystem of producers that expand opportunities for local ownership and meaningful employment, and celebrate Seattle’s unique cultural identity.

  • 16-24 years of age
  • Interested and dedicated to working with small, local businesses 
  • Passionate about learning from local entrepreneurs and manufacturers whose expertise ranges from fashion, to food, to art, and everything in between!
  • Wages and stipends vary based on position and capacity. 
  • Depending on position, internships may last a minimum of three months, or more. Weekly hours vary based on position
  • Eligible for school credit if approved by the school (Seattle Public Schools require 180 hours for class credit)

Current opportunities with Seattle Made businesses

Manufacturing assistant and social media/marketing position with Subsonic Skateboards

  • Internship available for summer, or fall positions
  • Stipend TBD
  • 5-10 hours/week
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: pressing longboards (staining, lay up, composites), screen printing, clear coating, shipping, and cleaning – with the potential to help with sanding and laser-engraving. Marketing: photography, videography, social media posts
  • Job/Internship now for summer, fall, or winter positions
  • Minimum wage: $15/hour
  • 5-25 hours/week depending on availability and ability
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: daily brewing tasks, administrative organization, sampling demo events, and a trade show event in August!
