Chris Maykut: Owner of Chaco Canyon Organic Cafe Owner

Alexa Allamano: Owner of Foamy Wader
I began toying with wire and gemstones in 2007 as a creative outlet from my day job in banking and regulatory compliance. Steadily my hobby became my passion. I left my career in banking in 2008 in favor of creating art and cultivating Foamy Wader.

My last name is Italian for “by hand” and I hail from a long-line of makers. Both of my grandfathers worked with their hands, one professionally as a carpenter and the other as a hobbyist lapidary, or gem-cutter. The latter instilled in me a fascination with gems from a very early age. My father owned his own motorcycle repair shop for over thirty years and my mother has always crafted (clothing, jewelry, costumes, truffles, soap, preserves…the list goes on).

Ask Alexa about how to build your wholesale stockist list while running your own brick and mortar venue.
