Join us with your favorite drink for this panel discussion with Seattle Made beverage producers. 

We’ll hear about the challenges and opportunities that beverage producers have faced due to the pandemic. We’ll also discuss the future of the industry and what it means for those producing in Seattle.

A Washington native whose family has long ties to the wine industry in Eastern Washington, Ackerman Bacon brings more than a decade of experience with luxury lifestyle magazines to Sip Northwest. Her extensive resume includes management positions at Robb Report Vacation Homes, Estates West Magazine and Luxuryrealestate.com and selling within titles such a Robb Report, The Robb Report Collection, Worth, Denver Life and Desert Living. Since launching Sip Publishing, she has also brought to life CIDERCRAFT magazine and Sip’s Wine Guide: British Columbia launched in Spring 2017.

And, if we sit across a table from a stranger with a couple glasses of great wine, before long, it’s surprising how much we all share. Wine gathers its taste from everything it encounters. The earth. The air. Everything leaves a mark. So do people. Jody’s passion for wine began in the Napa Valley and further explored through numerous experiences in the vineyards and wineries throughout Italy and France. Formally educated as one of the first graduates from WSU’s extension studies of Enology. Jody has a passion for developing wines that best represent the possibilities for Washington Wines.

Meet Brian Thiel, the managing owner and co-founder of Ghostfish Brewing Company, a brewery dedicated to using 100% gluten free ingredients, based in Seattle, WA. Ghostfish, now in its fifth year, is the largest volume producer of gluten free beer in the U.S. and has become one of the most acclaimed gluten free breweries in the world. Ghostfish beer proves time and again to be at the forefront of gluten free brewing with five Great American Brewing Festival (GABF®) medals and numerous additional awards both in and out of the gluten free beer category.

Prior to starting Ghostfish, Brian spent nearly 25 years in the aluminum can industry between two of the world’s largest manufacturers. Brian is a graduate of Klemmer & Associates, a leadership development program, and the Small Business Administration’s Emerging Leaders program.

Maura Hardman
PR & Marketing Manager Seattle Cider Company and Two Beers Brewing Co. 

Maura Hardman heads the small but scrappy marketing team for Two Beers Brewing, Seattle Cider Company, and Sound Craft Seltzer. She is currently pairing her love of craft beer and cider with her love of story telling and branding.
